Processing Times & Holiday Deadlines
At Lupine & Literature, every Christmas card is carefully handwritten, addressed, and prepared for mailing. Because each card receives personal attention, processing times vary depending on the size of your order and the level of customization requested. Cards are either religious or nondenominational.
We offer two processing options to accommodate your holiday schedule.
Standard Processing — Included in Your Order
Our standard processing service is included in the listed price of every Christmas card order.

1–24 cards: 3–5 business days
25–49 cards: 5–7 business days
50–99 cards: 7–10 business days
100–199 cards: 10–14 business days
200–499 cards: 14–21 business days
500 or more cards: Custom timeline
Rush Processing — Additional 25%
Need your Christmas cards mailed sooner? Our rush processing service prioritizes your order and offers an expedited turnaround for an additional 25% of the total order price.

25–49 cards: 2–3 business days
50–99 cards: 3–5 business days
100–199 cards: 5–7 business days
200–499 cards: 7–10 business days
500 or more cards: Subject to availability
Rush processing is offered based on current availability and must be confirmed before payment. Orders requiring extensive personalization or multiple photographs may require additional processing time.
When Does Processing Begin?
Your processing timeline begins on the first business day after all of the following have been received:

Your complete and accurate recipient mailing list

Your approved Christmas card message

Any photographs or additional personalization instructions

Full payment for your order

Confirmation of your card design and order details
Changes made after production begins may affect your estimated completion date.
Mailing & Delivery
Once your cards have been completed, they will be deposited with the United States Postal Service for delivery.
Please note: Processing time refers to the time required to prepare and mail your cards. It does not include USPS transit time.
Standard domestic First-Class Mail generally takes approximately 1–5 business days after USPS acceptance, although delivery times may be longer during the busy holiday season.
Rush processing expedites the preparation and mailing of your cards, not USPS delivery. Expedited shipping services may be available for an additional charge.
Recommended Christmas Ordering Deadlines
To help ensure your holiday greetings arrive before Christmas, we recommend placing orders by the following dates:

These are suggested planning deadlines, not guaranteed delivery dates. Actual deadlines will depend on the calendar year, production availability, USPS holiday schedules, and destination addresses.
